Extremely Great Value And Satisfaction
I've been using this CPU cooler for 10 + years on my primary computer, yes it's that old. Just until about a month ago, I used the cooler with only a single fan and my max temps never reached higher than about 68 degrees Celsius. Recently decided to add a second fan for increased air flow because I upgraded my processor. Now, with a 2nd fan and using a higher performing processor which is less efficient and one that runs hotter than current processors, my max temps really never get higher than 54 degrees Celsius. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this cooler. Oh, so I bought the exact same cooler only so that I had a 2nd fan and backup replacement parts in the invent I needed them.
When I upgrade my entire system, hopefully Cooler Master has a high quality product that delivers like this one has!

Oldie But Goodie
3 of 4 found this helpful It took 10 years before I was finally willing to pay for the highest performance CPU for my x58 motherboard. I replaced an i7 first gen 950 with the 990X. Yes, I'm using a 10-11 year old computer as my primary system. I'm not a gamer but I work with a lot of programs simultaneously and I do video editing. I upgraded to a 980 ti Invidia GPU at the same time. Upgrading to the 990X was the first time that I personally installed a CPU. I did some research on CPU removal and installation and went for it. I've been running the 990X for about a month. This processor works as great as I expected it would. The 990X is reliable and it easily handles all of the tasks that were previously performed by the 950. I'm content with my setup and see no real reason to buy a "modern day" system.

Great for running Blue Iris v5
So far so good. I am using this card on a dedicated SFF PC to run Blue Iris v5 using 10 4MP-6MP IP cameras running at 1920 X 1080 with a setting of 22-30 FPS. Average load on the card is around 50%. I'm using the DVI port to a single monitor and the monitor is being shared by two PC's. I've been using the GPU for 2 months and if the graphics cards continues to perform - I'll be totally satisfied.
