Remington F-3790 Cordless Rechargeable Flexing Foil Men's Electric Shaver refurb

Good DA-307 Replacement

I bought this Remington F-3790 shaver to replace my 2nd Remington DA-307 shaver that eventually wore out. I chose this model because it's newer and uses the same cutter and screen of which I had purchased several extras as back-ups. My F-3790 is a factory refurbished unit and costs considerably less than a brand new one. I had very good luck with my two factory refurbished DA-307's and expect to with this one also. It has identical features as the DA-307 so there was no getting-used-to period and seems lighter. The pop-up trimmer works well on sideburns and the odd hair lying down and missed by the cutter and screen. The box the shaver came in had the F-3790 model number on it but touted several features that the shaver does not have and is misleading. (e.g., "Neck pivots freely", neck is solid and cannot possibly pivot; "Quickly Rinses Clean Under the Tap", not if you ever want it to work again. Pamphlet inside box only states "Use the cleaning brush..." with no mention of water; "5 Minute Quick Charge" and "Battery Fully Charges in 2 Hours", pamphlet inside box states "Full Charge Time 16 hrs." and "Charge your new shaver 24 hours before its first use." My experience agrees with the pamphlet.) It's as though the box text and graphics were for a different model but the model number is the same. None of that misleading information mattered to me since I didn't care about those features. I've been using this shaver for about 3 weeks and so far I'm pleased. It cuts as fast and closely as my previous DA-307's when they were new. Now if it lasts as long I'll be very happy.

Tracks sunset like it is supposed to

The main reason that I chose this timer over a standard non-tracking one was to avoid the repeated resetting as the days grow longer or shorter. After approximately one week's use I was able to confirm that the tracking function was working as it should. I programmed the initial start time to be at sunset (adjusted for the published local sunset time) and approximately one week later compared the actual start time to the published local sunset time for that date. It was within one minute. Not explained adequately in the instruction sheet is the ability to adjust the default sunset or sunrise times to be more accurate for a local area for a given date much the same as for adjusting the clock's time of day.
