Ant massacre!
I ordered this ant farm for my granddaughters. It arrived very quickly, easy to set up and neat looking design. That's where the good ends and the death begins. The ants purposefully avoided the gel material. The stated in the treat pods and only a few left the safety of the pods. The ants that ventured up the tubes to access the living area were quickly entombed in the green gel, which has a consistancy more like slime. I never felt bad for a bug before but once I watched these ants drowning the slime I had to buy a traditional sand filled habitat. Thankfully it came very quickly and were able to relocate the surviving ants, about 40 of the sixty I purchased. They took to the new farm immediately and within 24 hours they had dug tunnels and thriving.
