macro and portrait master
3 of 4 found this helpful pros--sharpness across f stops. VR definitely saves a couple stops, i.e., I have shaky hands and could never get focused shots at 1/30 normally. built solidly.
cons--see last point above. fairly bulky for a 105 2.8 but still OK for street use. still closer to a 50 mm flyweight and a 70-200 tank.

pros--user friendly setup interface, remote reasonably comprehensive and intuitive (a difficult balance), superb sound, customization for speaker outputs including preamp bypass.
cons--remote range could be better.

top access panel nice. ez off magnet hooks also. nice color choices.
