Takes the stink out of hockey equipment
My son is a midget-aged hockey player. He is approximately 5 times a week on the ice and his hockey gear simply stinks even though it gets aired out after every ice time, regularly washed and treated with antibacterial spray. Hockey gloves are the worst (hockey parents know what I am talking about). Going to tournaments and have the equipment in the same room we sleep is killing me every time.
I did some research and came across using ozone to get the stink out. I finally found this machine on eBay and what can I say, it works. I put all his equipment in our basement guest bathroom and let the machine run for approx. 20 minutes. The equipment smells like brand new including gloves and skates.
Just be careful when dealing with ozone and follow the 3P rule. No people, pets or plants in the room the machine is running. Wait long enough before entering the room and air it out after the treatment. I hold my breath when entering the room after 2 hours, open the window, start the bathroom fan close the door behind me on the way out. The ozone smell is pretty intense at first but will disappear after some time.
