The Limits of Power
If every American read Andrew Bacevich's book, we'd have a chance to steer clear of the dark chapter in American history that hasn't quite hit us yet. After reading "The Limits of Power", I can truly say I understand, for the first time, why I've felt vaguely disquieted for years now when I look at the path Americans, and America have chosen. There's still time. It's just 182 pages. Your grandchildren will thank you. Bruce Ratcliffe (ehsratcliffe@sbcglobal.net)

Brand New! Genuine! Bosch PKP 18E Professional Hot Melt Glue Gun 200W Heating
Oct 24, 2015
Holy Smokes!
Bosch has a well-engineered product, no doubt. I'd hoped to have a glue gun that could be left on for hours with no drawbacks but if Bosch can't make it, maybe it can't be done. 200 watts is good for high production rate, but the gun smokes after being on for awhile, something which might be avoided if the temperature-controller was able to cut power before heat spreads back through the yet-unused glue stick. I say this because I had to dig out melted glue around the area where the (cold) glue stick enters the back of the heating area in the gun.

Shocking Pen - Electric Shock Novelty Metal Pen Joke Gag Prank Trick Funny Toy
Mar 24, 2020
Can't insert batteries
So far, I can't get pen to shock. The cardboard shows a picture of the 3 AGC batteries installed, but I can't open the pen to access where the batteries go. I will try again, hoping that pliers (to get a firmer grip) won't destroy the pen when I try to open it.
