Better than expected
the instructions were very clear, and the cpacitors and resistor componants were un upgrade on the original. I swapped the resistors sent for wirewounds, I just happened to have them, but the ones sent would do the job just fine.

Good Value for Money
I have bought three of these so I obviously like them. The first one is about 7 months old and I can hear the main bearing in the crankcase is starting to wear out, but then it has done a lot of work. I bought the second one for my wife so we could leave our resistance settings alone, and the third as a 60th Birthday present for someone dear who needs some help losing weight. The reason I settled on a cross trainer is because my knees are getting old, but the CT does not cause jarring so I can exercise and get off after say an hour without the pain, other than from exertion and sweat! It's easy to assemble, and once I had it where I wanted it in the house I used stud lock to stop the handles and other bits coming loose. (a few pence from almost any tool shop!) Could it be improved? Yes, but not at this price, and frankly I would rather recycle it and buy another than pay twice the price or more for no gain in effectiveness

Better than it's smaller brother
it is great for small gigs, and like all Laneys it is robuast. We had a 40W, now resigned to a little used (it's in another country) practice room. This one however steps up to the mark and is just great.
