Works, but not without effort.

Is it a good value? It's OK.
Is it of good quality? Time will tell.
The setup is a royal PITA. I'm not sure you really need the wi-fi module. Why not build it into the box on the power cord? Wouldn't bluetooth have been easier?
I got this light because of a similar looking Sylvania/Osram flexible light string I bought a few years ago. It came with a small remote unit and I really liked it. This one is a much more heavily made than the old one (yay) and has no remote control. Instead, you download an app to your smart phone. but......................
Nowhere in the instructions does it say you have to plug the light strip in and out of power five times to get it to be ready to connect with the extra plug in wi-fi module. Out of frustration and an hour of my life lost, I called the distributor at some point to complain and seek help and learned about the plug/unplug ritual. So, flawed instructions!
Linking its wi-fi module to your existing wi-fi system is a little awkward but I finally got that set.
It would be nice (and proper) if after turning the light off by the wall switch , when you turned it back on it would remember the setting when the light was last on. It doesn't. You can bring up the app on your smart phone and if you have saved the setting as a favorite, you can hit that button and the light goes to that setting.
If you don't use apps on your smart phone to operate things in your home or office, this may be a frustrating experience for you.

Best price I've seen for this expensive product
My sweetheart had tried this once before and was amazed by how much volume she got. I bought this for her Xmas stocking. She was very happy.
