WD easystore Portable Drive 4TB Certified Refurbished

Failed out of the box

The drive I received failed out of the box. Initially it showed 4 TB of space available as soon as I copied files to it, the drive became inaccessible. I then got an error saying the parameter is incorrect. I scanned it with the Western digital disc analysis tool, it threw error code 7. I reformatted it multiple times and it continued to fail as soon as I copied files to it. I have ordered these refurbished drives before and they have always worked in the past this is the first one that had issues. The scan also indicated it had multiple bad sectors and blocks.
