Sony never lets me down!
This sub has exceeded my expectations. I ordered the DVC configuration to use in a single ported box. The sub immediately outperformed the previous sub I had in the same box. I originally had a kicker CompC 12" SVC rated for 375RMS at 4ohms and it was lacking. I am using a Kenwood KAC-8104D monoamp.
I have this sub hooked in parallel to use it at 2ohm, at about 500RMS. She hits without any distortion and will be tuned up more once I've used it a couple weeks.
With the new installation of this Sony sub, my bass is much better balanced and the quality is by far unprecedented. The bass at the low end volume range is crisp and still felt unlike my previous kicker that sounded like it was off at lower volumes.
I have multiple other Sony products and I will continue to buy Sony as I have never had a single bad experience. For example, sound bar, wireless headphones, all playstation products, television, portable speaker, etc....
Pros: Beautiful craftmanship, MRC honecomb cone, sub terminals are in a row for easy hookup, removable bezzle for inset type boxes
Cons: nominal resistance was a bit off. Each coil read 3.1ohms which is more like 3 ohms instead of the rated 4 ohms. Nevertheless it still outperforms, just means the voltage necessary is less as the resistance is less.
P = V^2/R know your electricity with any build!

great replacement
it is universal. might have to fold depending on height of shifter and circumference of base. i am very happy. excrement replacement boot, looks better, love the red stitch and the mugen.

Excellent Notebook
2 of 2 found this helpful Came with a 128gb SSD m.2. Very lightweight design. 100% satisfied. The battery life is relatively long lasting, it is better once you put it in Battery Saver mode. This is my second ASUS product and I am very happy. There was a second slot for RAM upgrade and a slot for a SATA hard drive upgrade. I placed another 16gb of RAM and a 1TB HDD. Very easy install.
