No Prayer Required - it does rock
in spite of around 40 years of longevity, DAD have created a very strong set of songs, with a lyrical acuity that reflects the observations of age/experience. Production is superb, playing (as usual) cannot be faulted in the execution. The tropes are hard rock, with some harmonic balladeering overlays.

Big Short a Big Deal
an exploratory creative attempt to explain the USA's financial meltdown 2007-08 which cost the country trillions and spiraled hundreds of thousands into poverty. The surreality of real life at that time in the financial world is depicted brilliantly, key figures are portrayed with a mix of sympathy and accusation. there are a couple of almost pythonesque narrative flips / 4th wall breaks to explain the more complex bones of banking at the time,and enable a lay person to understand what actually went on, and how it happened.

It brilliantly conveys a time from a century ago, but speaks to the humanity and emotions of today.
