Work Horse Stand Alone Converter
Relatively easy to find and inexpensive. Many buyers look past these because they're looking for a simple solutions with a converter/Interface/Micpre, all in one thingy. These were originally designed to go with MOTU's PCI and PCIE cards as Digital Performer hardware. But they work 'stand alone' and are programmed easily from the front panel.
iIf you have a real world recording setup with changing equipment, bands coming in with material FX on all kinds of gear and have to interface a piece of that gear that only has an ADAT, SPDIF, TDIF or consumer optical as a source, to a destination that has any combination of the same sources, or even analog, then this 1U space converter is your ticket. It's like a 24 channel Swiss Army Knife. The RME device that does the same thing, sells for nearly a grand.
The Mark 1 is not 24 bit. The Mark II and III are 24bit.
Recommend.

Great Old School analog hardware DA. Like a Tank!
I needed a video DA the CCTV cams and monitors in my production companies recording studio. I have older Sony PTZ cameras. They're also high quality but not HD. The video outputs from them are all hardwired Analog Video on BNC's. The GVA 8000 series was just the ticket. It's industrial strength with each of the 9 cards supplying 1 input and 8 outputs. These were used in many TV broadcast and post studios and have a 100% duty cycle meaning they can stay powered on 24/7. It also has a slot for a redundant power supply. This for under $100.00 dollars compared to Chinese imports with perhaps 2 or 3 inputs and wall wart power supplies with less that quality components and construction make it a no brainer. I would recommend this to anyone requiring multiple inputs and outputs that a total of 9X72 in two rack spaces. BTW These pups new are thousands of dollars!
