My goal is Honesty through Integrity. I tend to demonstrate great Customer Service as I was raised in two family businesses. According to my College attendance (University of Illinois - Ohio State - University of Hawaii/Manoa), I am a Grower/Horticulturist/Interiorscaper! The school of Hard-Knocks I am a Bowler (by PBA association) and Coach Level II (by AJBC, and USBC). I have been a Machinist since being a minor. At my Fathers Machine shop, I was able to set-up and run a Mill, Lathe, Grinder and Stick Welder at the age of 10 years old. In 1989 I started working in the Plastic Industry as a Mold Maker and later learned to be CAD proficient. Currently I focus on serving those who need professional help with their plastic projects, from design through production. I have CAD, Machining for developmental work at my finger-tips. One day I made a Carriage Stop for my Lathe and one of my clients seen it and asked me to make one for them. This has since turned into an Ebay Hobby.
This is perhaps the highest quality lathe accessory I have ever purchased. It is fully ground and polished and is a piece of art! Quick shipping in a custom made box, this is quality all the way!

Extremely well made. Seller includes a very thourough and well put together instruction manual. I have an older Craftsman lathe with 3/8 thick bedways and he made an adjustment so this unit would fit it and it does like a glove. I wish I would have known about this before I bought an original atlas carriage stop. The original has so much slop and play that it makes it almost unuseable. If you're considering buying a carriage stop I would highly recommend this one.
I did some measurements on these collets when they arrived.
They are being used on a mini mill.
Pro:
Concentric - Passed
Threads - Passed
Surface Finish - Passed
Dimensions (Internal) - Passed
Cost
Well Marked
Con:
Dimension (Outside) - Fail
The distal end of all of the collets were about .0006" oversize.
With a little polishing they work like a dream.

Awesome Printer & Customer Service
Let me start out by saying that I am a Plastic Design/Project Engineer.
My intention was to print components from the 3D CAD files that I have designed for my clients. After several weeks of shopping around so that I had a good knowledge that I was getting the most for my investment, I purchased my printer from RepRapGuru. The kit was purchased about two months ago and I wanted to give some time to make sure that the unit was reliable, before giving a review.
The kit arrived in a box much smaller than I expected but everything was there and very well packed to prevent damage during shipping. It took me one-and-a-half days to build the unit and a couple more to get the software to work. I have to admit that, I called their tech support number and they walked me through the sequence to get it up and running. A lot had to do with my voltage settings being incorrect (My Fault) on the PCB. Tech support helped to guide me to get it right. Before building this printer, I purchased a 24” X 24” X 1” piece of wood and some Aluminum profile to securely keep the printer solidly attached. All of the glide rails are within .001” parallel and have been positioned about .003” wider than TIR with the bearings. I have built many jigs, fixtures and machines, in the past and this little trick was to help dampen any vibration.
My first print was an “L” shaped test strip (PLA) to test for dimensional accuracy of the printer. I hit all the dimensions within .001” and the surface finish I would rate as very good. The first thing I thought to myself after I was finished measuring and checking for other flaws was “as a Mold Maker of nearly 1,000 different parts was that I am obsolete”. It was a very humbling experience to see a part created within an hour that would have taken at least a week to build the mold for.
The bottom line is that if you are looking for a 3D (FDM) printer. This is the one to buy!
The extruder can run a wide variety of materials and is very accurate.
Plus, the most important is the excellent Tech Support/Customer Service.
