Watch out for Bricked units

Apparently there are a bunch of these devices that some suppliers have scooped up that have been bricked by attempted upgrading of the firmware, but the suppliers keep shipping them without checking if the ports actually work, just relying on the power light for verification that the device is “fully functional”.
