Mediocre and Dangerous
2 of 4 found this helpful As a therapist I was hoping this book would give me some useful tools to use with clients. Frankly, some of the suggested activities range from mediocre to downright dangerous! For self-harming clients it's suggested to simulate cutting by using red nail polish on your wrists, for abused clients to actually confront their abusers, to socially isolate yourself when experiencing "feelings of loneliness", and other questionable advice. As a professional I know how to take these suggestions with a grain of salt but I am afraid that untrained individuals may participate in such dangerous activities.

Excellent for understanding the ins and outs for beginners!
1 of 1 found this helpful Very helpful, especially for the jerky novice! It also shows the old fashioned ways to dry & cure. I haven't sat down and read the entire thing yet, I wonder if it has recipes for the seasonings? We take manager's special/last good date meats on sale at the grocery and turn them into dried delicacies for ourselves, friends and family!
