It's exactly as described, and the cheapest one I've seen available. Just get under the car and unplug the connector to the trans and install in between. The dashboard shift light (and dashboard animation) will still come on as before, but the shifter will not try to force you into 4th gear. Just shift into 2nd and keep going. One could go cheaper by using a resistor and some electrical tape, but fit will take you longer to wrap everything, and depending on where you live/ your driving conditions you could splash water in there. The time saved and assurance of using weather-pack connectors makes this well worth the $10 to purchase it.

happy customer

simple to install and looks like/ works like new. the hardest part was removing the shifter plate from the center console. I recommend some plastic pry bars and then to slide the two upper trim pieces out of the way as you pry the shifter plate up. the shift knob itself simply unscrews, a couple of wiring harnesses to disconnect and you can swap the old one out and install this one. it's that simple.
