Metal is more durable
The first time I used this box, I was cutting 1/4 X 3/4 basswood strips. The plastic holding pins are weak and break easy. In addition, a piece of the plastic miterbox along the slot broke off.
I suggest buying a metal miter box as plastic will not suffice.
As for the accompanying saw, it worked well and is made well.
