The only way to fix a keyboard problem on Acer R15 R5.
It's actually a keyboard replacement for the same model of keyboard damaged in one way or the other (water spilled, etc).
It's the exact replacement part, new. Not for the faint hearted to install, as it requires a total component teardown of the computer (which is actually mounted pc boards upside down on the palmrest, so complete disassembly is required). But if you're careful and have a little experience doing this sort of thing, it goes pretty quickly, with no left-over parts. I used a guide from Fixit for the step by step, and it was quite accurate.

Doesn't work right, see description/review.
While it will boot and appear to run, it has an old version of firmware that I cannot update via means in the MXT-700/1000 manual. The panel does not respond to a USB stick plugged into it with new firmware on it. (Have used this procedure on other panels).
Additionally, the panel will work for about 5 minutes, then it disconnects from the AMX host and plays dead until to physically remove power and restore. Rinse and repeat. Maybe new firmware will fix it, but I have had any success with that.
