It is very smooth when you crank the handle.or spin the spool. Very little corrosion. It came spooled with 80lb dacron that was almost new about 700 yards of it. What I do not like about is the model 910 has no harness lugs. The only issue I have with it. But i knew that when I bought it. Hopefully I can retro fit some.

I have used it to trim small limbs off of bambo, which is very hard with no damage to the blade.
