Not made to original Polaris specifications
While the replacement driveshaft appears very similar to the original, the too fat upper joint will not rotate freely when installed and sitting at the resting angle. Extra material in both parts of the shaft that are connected by the U joint on the top end will ride against each other and prevent the driveshaft from turning freely. While trying to remove the U joint in order to manually going away extra metal to provide the necessary clearance, the U joint itself failed. My only recourse then was to use the upper section of the old driveshaft with the lower section of the replacement driveshaft in order to get my machine back in service. Additionally, the hub retaining nut on the replacement is a bigger size than the original, so now you need two different socket sizes in order to remove the rear hubs. DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVESHAFT. SPEND A LITTLE MORE AND GET THE OEM REPLACEMENT so you will have a trouble free bolt in direct replacement. Though the website indicates this is a direct replacement for my machine, IT MOST CERTAINLY IS NOT!!!
