A nice book but needs to be updated
This book was writen in the early 1950's and re-released in 1974. The book covers relief, chip and figurine carving or whitling. Has a few designs and patterns. Also covers a little bit on power carving, tool sharpening and small tool making. The book need to be updated with current wood carving methods. It sold for $4.95 in 1974 and is worth about the same price today if in new like condition.

This is a time saver, I can drive both #2 square and #2 phillips drive with one tip. Genius driver.

A great collection of floral carving patterns.
A large selection of patterns for relief carvings with the authors input on each pattern. Includes pictures of the carving with each drawing. This is not a beginers book for carving, but has over 20 floral patterns for a beginer to study. Includes a forward by master carver E.J. Tangerman.
