Pleasant surprise
I bought these for showcase use. They are fully sufficient for that. What makes them very desireable is they come in one foot sections; they connect with very short connectors for continuous straight light, but they come with wire connectors, enabling one to place the lights around corners, front and back of the case, and up and down the doors, all on a single transformer switch. I used 3M double sided tape to secure them to glass and wood. They emit very little heat, and the tape holds them firmly.

Weak magnets, won't hold weight
Weak magnets. slides down when loaded.

Works in a dark bathroom, but never works on the flagpole.
