Does the job
Deadens the sound. Good stick response, perhaps more than a real cymbal though. What I really like was the Hi-Hat mute set. Now I can use my real hi-hats to practice with my electronic drums and get much more realistic muscle memory.

Norelco BT9285 with Laser
Good product and arrived faster than stated.
Not sure of the value of the laser guide feature. Have not done a lot of exacting trimming with it yet, but did notice the laser line falls slightly above the trim teeth/edge. So guess I have to stop trimming just short of where I want the whisker line to actually be. Pretty much just like the graphic on the packaging shows - the full laser line is visible ABOVE where the teeth are cutting. If you put the laser line exactly onto the existing whisker line... oops you’ve cut too far. Not sure if that is a defect or intended. On the other hand, with my aging eyesight, looking into a mirror, it is hard to spot exactly where the teeth are. So the laser helps with that.
The plastic comb attachments do not lift the whiskers away from skin. So if they not already sticking straight out it will take a few sessions to get all the long ones cut to one size.
