RUST RUST RUST
0 of 1 found this helpful The pump works great, however if you are going to use it to be a pump for anything that you dont want rust in you should pass. From the minute I plugged it in it sent rust through every thing. I thought it just was from sitting so I let it run 48 hours. It caused every pipe (PVC) and my reservoir to be COATED with rust. Not just in the water but settled to everything. I can only assume that the cast iron is very poor quality as it never stopped putting rust out. If you do NOT care about the rust it works great and is cheap. I am disappointed that is does not state in description that you should not use for ANY SORT OF POTABLE WATER.
