UFO Megaset DVD
5 of 5 found this helpful This disc set covers the entire series live of the show. It is set in the 1980's. Before Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's later Space:1999 series. If you are a fan of Space:1999 then you will see and appreciate many similarity's between the two. I decided to purchase this because growing up I was a fan of Space:1999. I vaguely remember the UFO series and decided to give it a try. Yes, the acting is somewhat lacking in emotional transference. Some of the props were on the cheap side. And the sexist way the men acted towards the women can be embarrassing by today's standards. However, the modeling and special effects for the time are outstanding. Like most of Anderson's projects the models are top notch and they become the stars of the shows themselves. If you pay close attention to some of the wardrobe you can see some innovative ideas. Some that made it into production in the real world.
The writing does become a little silly at times, you have to remember when and were this was written. If you try and compare this to today's series and movies then you will be disappointed. It needs to be appreciated for what it was not for what it could have been.
This is a must have for any Gerry and Sylvia Anderson fan. Or for most classic/cult SciFi fans.

One Of Sammy's Best
All of the songs on this release are excellent. Including the remake of "Piece of My Heart". My personal favorite besides the hits is "Inside Lookin' In". This song should have gotten a lot more air time than it got. I like a good song with several change ups. If your a Hagar fan this one is a must.

Great Cover
Bought this for my new John Deere Z540M 48" zero turn mower. Fits perfectly. It is of good quality and seems to be thick enough to withstand several years of outside weather.
