Lesser John Carpenter film enlivened with beautiful packaging and great bonus features.

POD is not Carpenter's best - its attempt to add a technological component to the rise of the antichrist can't be sustained by its limited budget - but the philosophical script, committed performances, and classic Carpenter synth score make it a worthwhile journey. But the real value here is the beautiful steelbook packaging and the oodles of bonus features including a Carpenter commentary track and a set of new interviews with various cast and crew.
