Great price and features
I could only afford a Nikon D3200 a few years ago, so am very happy to finally upgrade to the D7100. I have to take photos of dark rooms - recording studios and music concerts - for my job, and paired with my Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 I'm getting great images from this camera. Having ISO 6400 is great, 51 focus points are a welcome upgrade, and I'm enjoying accessing functions from the controls on the outside rather than via the menu - DOF preview, focus mode, Fn, which I programmed for instant ISO access, and full-res image playback; they're all godsends.

Buy it; you won't be disappointed
Having used the much cheaper Nikkor 70-300mm for a few years, mainly for wildlife photos, I decided to upgrade. I got great results with the old lens, but the 80-400mm is just next level. On the Nikon site, reviewers have commented that you shouldn't even think about buying this lens - just order it. They were right. Great detail, and with the extra magnification (it's on a D7100 DX body, so effectively 120-600mm) I can capture subjects nicely from greater distances. It's big and heavy, and I'm still getting used to the different center of gravity, but I'm really happy with the photos I've taken since it arrived.
