Funny yet Helpful
The Legend of Dragoon (LoD) is a game that does not require a strategy guide. That being said, what you are getting is a cherry-on-top of an already awesome game. There are cool bits of lore and flavor being expanded upon. This guide's got backgrounds and stats as well as helpful hints on certain parts such as collecting Stardust and defeating a particular bosses.
At the same time, the guide is a bit funny. There are constant misspellings and certain things are wrong in a completely hilarious way. It's almost as if the strategy guide was being put together from a beta version of LoD. There is most certainly a good amount of value here, but its tapered by the sudden and rampant verbiage mistakes. There are also large swaths of content and secret areas that the guide completely leaves out. I'd recommend looking through GameFAQs for more complete writs if you are going for a completionist run; which is something I am currently undertaking.
All in all, Prima's LoD strategy guide is a pretty good addition to the game. Some items within may surprise even long standing veterans of LoD.

Something for the collectors
A lot of these strategy guides were released in an era before internet was ubiquitous and everyone could just look up anything related to any game. A lot of information that went into these guides is not something you'll be able to readily find online though. They typically expand on the world and give a lot more context to events that are happening during gameplay. Obviously there are stats and maps which make the strategy guide a compelling purchase anyway, but there's also something to be said about the lost art of these things. Kinda how there used to be instruction manuals which came with every game and it was inconceivable that it would ever stop. The guides for X-Men Legends games (both the first and its sequel), are of particularly high quality. There is a ton more information than what you'd typically expect and the world is fleshed out quite a bit more. For myself and most folks out there, this guide and its ilk are more for collection purposes. If you enjoyed the older action-RPGs of the bygone era, then this will make a fine addition to that collection. I'd recommend playing the two X-Men games as well, but that's pretty much a given if you're looking to get a strategy guide.

Good RAM for Home Lab
It's not the fastest or the best RAM out there, but it gets the job done at a cheaper price point. If you have a server at home for a lab, a couple of 16GB kits will be more than enough to get a good virtual environment stood up. Just remember to fill slots according to server board recommendations to make the most use of these relatively weaker hardware.
