About
Hi everyone--Tripleransom here. I'm called that after my favorite ex-racehorse, the real Triple Ransom, who models most of my tack and horse gear. I've been in the horse world for nearly 50 years now, showing, hunting, and eventing.

Buy this book!
1 of 1 found this helpful An excellent book. The designs are imaginative and varied enough so that there should be a hat for just about anybody in this collection. (Note: all the hat patterns are designed for adults, although many could be adapted for children.)
The book includes a short section covering all the construction techniques used for the hats, even a section on felting and felted appliques. You do need to be comfortable kniiting on dp needles, since almost all the hats are knitted in the round from the top down.
Whether you are an experienced hat knitter, or would like to try your hand at it, there are designs in here that you will love!
This is a book that belongs in your permanent library. There are enough ideas in here to keep you going for a long time. I originally got this book at my local library, then decided I needed to own a copy for myself.

Well written, exhaustively researched
John Ashdown-Hill presents us with a much needed balance in his picture of Richard III, that much-maligned king. His conclusions are backed up by impeccable research. He strips away many of the myths about Richard which have been perpetuated by many previous authors. He is perhaps a little too liberal in his use of exclamation points, but this is a minor quibble about a very engaging book. Well worth the read for anyone interested in getting down to the facts about Richard's life.
