Elenco M-1250 23 Range 20k/V VOM Meter

Inexpensive, but adequate for my work.

An inexpensive meter, but seems to work well enough. I am doubting the 20KOhm per volt rating, having looked at the schematic, but all I need it for is radio alignment using peak and null signals. I don't even need a graduated scale. This is a completely non-electronic meter. No ICs or transistors. Just a couple of protection diodes and rectifiers and that's it. Don't try to use this to build a rocket ship.

OK for it's price, but not a precision item.

Power supply works. Cover screws were falling out, though. Retapped holes to 6-32 and new screws to fix. Circuit card seems good quality, but the rest is typical Chinese JUNK. Binding posts are almost stripped out, but at least they are the correct spacing. Adjustment pots are jumpy and require careful placement. It's not a bad unit for the price. CV and CC appear to work, but the lowest CC is .5 Amps. It would be better if it were lower.
