Best EMGs I've ever played.
I've played a EMG 81 60 set for about 4 years in two guitars of mine. A ESP ltd Snakebyte, and ESP E-ii Eclipse DB VB. I've played lots of guitars in stores, and from friends, with various pickups. But EMG has always been my go to pickup. The het set to say the least, blew me away. The bridge is so aggressive yet doesn't sacrifice note definition. It has this awesome grit layered on top of notes that's kind of hard to describe. I absolutely love it. The neck pickup is really fantastic as well. Played on clean, it sounds super clear and shimmery, while sounding really full and defined. Compared to the 81 60, it's a step up for sure. Some might say it's not worth 240$, but I feel it's totally worth it, but that's my own opinion. I also played this through a Mesa Triple Rectifier, and the het set just splits heads paired with this amp. The het set also looks phoenominal! Really sleek. If you're on the fence about these pickups. I'd go and try one of James Hetfields signature guitars at Guitar Center as those have the het set in it. Well, wish you guys the best of luck on your musical journey. Stay groovinM/
