Great kibash fodder
This is an inexpensive model of a PRR N6b caboose, it matches dimensions with an older craftsman kit that I have. Although it is not very detailed, the only grab irons molded on are the curved side ones, detailing it is a matter of a little work, some wire, paint, and better trucks. Considering that the "other brand" detailed N6b caboose is close to $50, this is a bargain for someone on a budget who is willing to do a bit of work.

Great reissue of an old kit
2 of 2 found this helpful Remember that this is a re-release of an ancient kit, originally released in 1962. Having said that, the kit origin is as a "promo", (promos had no engine detail, or opening hood, and all undercarriage detail was molded as one piece) a model made to be given away by car dealers, therefore, all chassis detail (exhausts and suspension) is molded to the chassis and will require careful painting, a separate hood and an engine is provided, with metal axles, the front going thru thru engine, don't let this be a deal breaker, the chances of any manufacturer tooling a new 63 Galaxie are somewhere between slim, and none, so this is it. I have built a couple of these over the years, and had no problems. The molds are in good shape, with the body and trim nice and sharp, and just a minimum of flash. If you want a 63 Ford Galaxie in you collection, don't be afraid of this kit.
