A lot of waiting.

Aside from the animations of the characters and the cel-shaded overworld, there's not much to this game. There are a lot of cards and effects which would allow for decent gameplay, except the game insists on taking dramatic pauses. There are also animations for EVERY SINGLE ATTACK, which take way too long and are generally pointless. They can be turned off, though. All in all, this would be a decent game for a kid for its price (I got mine for $5 new), but for a teen or adult, there is far too much waiting through pointless cutscenes.

Quite good.

I couldn't decide between the PS2 and the Wii version, but I went with the PS2 because it allows you to use the guitar hero controllers as well, which the wii version does not. Although the PS2 version lacks a few features of the 360 and PS3 versions, the gameplay is still solid. Rock Band is a great game for parties.
