Kodak Dye Sub Photo Printer 6850
This printer works very well, and can print 4x6, 5x7 and 6x8 from a 6 inch print kit(can print other sizes, wallets and 3x5, with the latest firmware you can print a single 4x6 and later print another single 4x6 and the printr will back the ribbon up to the prior single 4x6 to save on the ribbon. The quality of the prints are of lab quality. Same printer used in most Kisok style labs. Unit weighs about 65 to 70 lbs and take up abou a 1 1/2 sq ft space. Print speed is very quick. Averages about 10 seconds per print. When chaging paper and ribbon it is recommended to clean the urethane rolls with alcohol to keep the prints looking good.

Kodak PROFESSIONAL 1400 Dye Sub Printer Review
I decided to purchase the Kodak 1400 Professional Printer, based on the price range they've been selling for recently.
The printer is very easy to set up and use with Windows XP. Currently there are no Vista or Windows 7 drivers are available for this printer. Colors and contrast are great, prints look just like a photo lab print. The only drawback is that when printing a picture that has any text, the text looks soft. This is a printer issue, that Kodak says has been corrected with the newer 9810 printer. Based on the price range up to $250.00 this would be a good printer for most users. The paper and ribbon for a 8x12 run about $1.50 per print.
