Don't miss out on this story!
1 of 1 found this helpful A best-loved book from my childhood, I got several copies because I couldn't find my originals and when I read books to children, I like them to have one so they can follow along. It really helps improve their reading skills and they love being able to see the pictures and learn to recognize new words.
To me, this book is a MUST READ for children and adults, alike. There is something very special about how everyone pitched in to help Jimmy after his accident but learned to let him step out independently as he grew accustomed to his life without sight. My siblings and I learned to recognize Braille dots as a result of this book and then went on to learn the manual alphabet, something Jimmy didn't need but a natural progression for us.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to ANYONE who wants a story that is authentic and heartwarming.

Sturdy - well constructed - Wonderful glide shelves.
They were relatively simple to install and are up and running in about 30 minutes. They handle heavy kitchen appliances and glassware without a sweat. I no longer have to forget about my project if I have to crawl around (haven't been able to do that for years) to find my stuff. I pull out a drawer and I know what I have. I don't have to ask family and guests to dig through the backs of my cupboards anymore! SO happy I have these now!
