Still a fine product and good value at $4.
It's now $4 instead of $2 in the earlier reviews but it's still a good product and good value. It mounts easily to the car windshield or to a weighted dashboard beanbag mount I used with an old TomTom GPS. Either way, it does not jiggle as the gooseneck ones do, and I do not miss their adjustments...this one is fine. It also does not block air conditioning vents....the reason I tried it was that in one car, my other, vent-mounted phone holders would flip the vent down over bumps, so the phone faced downward, becoming useless as a navigation device. Once I saw the first one I bought, I ordered more for the other cars.

Marantz DV4300 DVD Player
Beware the Marantz DV-4300 DVD player.
When it was introduced it was slim, slick, good-looking.
But it had technical issues that, if the owner was lucky, would surface before the warranty expired. The units would fail to initiate and recognize discs. Early on they might quit playing a disc after it had been running for a while, or pixellate after warmup.
Well after the warranty period, Marantz allowed free and unlimited repairs and retrofits of these units for original owners, handled through their authorized Marantz dealers. Some customers were even offered a later DV-4400 in exchange, at no charge; that one wasn't as slim, slick or good-looking, but it was utterly reliable, which I'd take to be a good tradeoff! Unfortunately the program for exchanging defective Marantz DV-4300 expired about three years ago and there is no more recourse other than paying to have a defective one fixed.
The problem may have been due to excessive heat buildup. The video processor in the DV-4300 runs hot.
The ones that came back from Marantz after repair or retrofit appear to be reliable and long-lasting, so the good news is that if you encounter one that works, probably it will continue doing so. Those that don't work are probably already discarded.
The Marantz DVD-4300...at least the versions I've tried...can be set to play DVDs from any region but won't play PAL DVDs in progressive scan. That this may vary according to the version you are dealing with, or if someone has updated the firmware in the unit. Routinely the firmware would be updated any time an authorized Marantz servicer, or the factory, did work on the player, so the following may not work on any particular DV-4300:
Marantz DV-4300 region-free setup
1. Open the disc tray
2. Press SETUP
3. Press 9,1,1,1,1
4. Press PAUSE
5. Press SHUFFLE
6. Press NEXT

Durable but perhaps not up to its specification
I doubt that the compression offered by these stockings is actually 30-40 mm Hg. It is probably more like 20-30 mm Hg. That said, the stockings are durable and look good. Probably if they were of a fabric with more spandex than 5%, they would more closely meet their claimed compression but they probably also would not look as good.
If you are aware of what you get at the price, these are a very good value.
