A broad sweeping title which includes more than cults
1 of 1 found this helpful As a pastor for over 25 years I have had my share of having to correct the misinterpretations applied to the Bible by the cults, world religions and Christian sects. However I don't always remember every misinterpretation there is from the variety of cults there are today. I find that this book is a indispensible tool for every Christian to use not only for themselves as they grow in faith but also for witnessing to their friends and their neighborhood cults. It is of particular value not only for its thorough treatment of scripture misrepresentations and theological deceptions but also for its handiness. You can quickly find the answer to what ever scriptre is being misinterpreted though its sequential, Biblical layout from Genesis to Revelation, which I deem as being of inestimable value when you have a cult member at your front door and you need a quick answer. The information is concise and theologically correct. I plan on using it as a reference tool for my own cultic encounters but also promoting it as a handy reference tool to my congregation and in my New Christians and discipleship classes.
It has a great bibliography if one wants to follow up on a particular theme, cult or sect to gain more understanding and a quick topical index to zero in points of interest. My advise is to buy it, study it and keep it handy.
