Good saw, bad battery

The saw itself is great. Once I unpackaged everything, I charged the battery. It said it was full but would not run the saw. I have filed a claim with DeWalt but have not heard from them yet. It’s been over a week. I have since bought two off brand batteries and am pleased with them.
