A very Russian interpretation of a much loved work.
Kirill Kondrashin’s forty year old recording of this much loved and recorded work stands the test of time as one of the best ever done.

The Fluid Is The Key, Along With The Right Brush
1 of 1 found this helpful I got this product mainly for the cleaning fluid, not the brush. I have 40 year old original Discwasher brand brushes. Theses are correctly made so that the nap of the brush material is pointed the same way the arrow is on the end of the brush. That way the brush can cover the entire surface of one side of a vinyl record or disc. When used correctly the original Discwasher brush will easily clean one side in a few minutes. Next, the quick use of an anti static brush like Hudson HiFi’s or the much more expensive Audio Quest brush will get rid of all static build up and leave your vinyl ready to sound its best. If my description is vague or you have more questions, go to YouTube and do some research.

Fine performance, Quality recording
While there are many fine recordings of this much loved work, Valery Gergiev has the full measure of this score. Do yourself a favor and acquire it, perhaps along with Kondrashin’s time honored version as well.
While the notes are the same for both conductors, the Russians seem to pull out of them something extra that’s quite unique. Enjoy!
