JBL GX953 6X9
2 of 2 found this helpful I wanted clean highs, punchy mids, no muddied bass with a high decibel sensitivity for high volume with the lest amount of power. These speakers filled every expectation and are comparable to much much higher priced speakers. If you just want loud muddied bass there are many other cheaper speakers which would fill that need. Some might say that these have less bass than the other cheaper choices. I say that they have accurate rendition of the true sound without the distorted attempt with a muddied bass. These speakers do take well to amplifiers in their power range or slightly above their rating as long as it's a clean RMS power limit. But they also can be powered with less power such as a good head unit without sounding bad as long as the volume is kept at a reasonable level below the total harmonic distortion limit of lets say @1% where clipping would occur and be audible...usually about 3/4+ volume. I think for the money you cant go wrong with these for high fidelity sound at a fantastic price.
