A Really Great Lens
0 of 1 found this helpful She's a biggish baby but incredibly sharp, excellent contrast and no CA, even when shooting into the sun. The FE 70-200 has both internal focusing and zooming - thank you Sony for finally matching what your competitors offer. Considering that 200mm is 7.87 inches the lens isn't that much longer. To save weight and bulk the majority of the time I take the tripod ring off. I work with the A7rii which has built-in 5 axis IS. Out of curiosity I turned the body IS off and just used the lens's and I can tell you that yes, the lens has great IS and I was able to sharply shoot at 1/15 at 200mm. Pricing is fair for a lens with these specs - right in line with its competitors. I know why it is painted white but that doesn't mean I like a white lens.
