Great Air Cleaner, Plus a DIY Tip for Older Units.
Works great. Cleans fine. I had to fix a bad grommet on the fan shaft which was causing noise/vibrations. They don't make the parts anymore. I used a stiff 1/4" PVC hose and force fit into the grommet. Good as new. So if you have that issue, open it up, I would advise to take the blower fan out and to a hardware store and find a clerk to help you find a rubber grommet to replace the worn out one. This is a cheap fix and an easy DIY project. It will have to be very tight fit or the fan will slip and cause noise. The motor will probably last forever, it is not that issue. I'm sure many of these older units have worn out fan grommets. I fixed another one I found on Ebay with the same issue. Worn out rubber blower fan grommet. When it starts to make grinding noise, that is the issue. Fix that and you got a new Oreck XL more or less. I'm happy with 3 of these off Ebay.

Great New Hoover Orig Replacement LiNX battery!
Great New Battery to replace my worn out battery. My old battery would not hold much charge anymore. So, 3 yrs ago, I bought a different (cheap no name) replacement battery and it worked intermittently. I even took that battery apart and it appeared fine inside, new cells, good connections. But the Hoover charger never wanted to charge it, would not even light up. 1 out of 10 times it would charge that (no name) battery with a full charge 100%, so the cells were fine. But I would go to use that cheap battery fresh (sitting on the charger), and nearly every time find that the charger had refused to charge it.
This New Hoover LiNX battery is great, it charged full the first time and ran for over 15 mins straight and it still had 1/2 charge. Wow. My advice is to buy this battery! Avoid the knock off batteries being sold as they don't work good. This battery is a-brand-New-Hoover-replacement-battery. So Worth it. The LiNX vacuum is Awesome! For cordless, it has so much power.
