This album is light years ahead of it's time, a brilliant masterpiece.
This is the best album you've never heard of. It's by the best band that you've never heard of.
Doseone fronts this experimental wonderland, a white rapper whose beatnik-type lyrics are meaningful both superficially and in a much deeper way. This is a real band behind Doseone, who, although he is technically a "rapper," he sounds nothing like any other rapper. There are drums, guitar, synthesizer, harmonica and even woodwinds! Another unique bit to this experimental group: the electric and acoustic cello and upright bass. This instrument truly makes some awesome sounds that you won't hear anywhere else.
This is a concept album, and the book contains the lyrics, which also support a continual story through the album. Most of the songs blend into the next song, and there are two two-part songs on the album.
Queens of the Stone Age coined a term for music like this: "It's songs for the deaf. YOU CAN'T EVEN HEAR IT!"
The only reason you would ever buy this album is to own the most genius and ahead-of-its-time album to come out since Radiohead's Kid A (2000). These are bold statements, I know, but my kids or my kids' kids will be listening to this album like I listened to Abbey Road, Physical Graffiti and The Wall. You heard it first from me (most likely). -Tony Gesamondo
