Very pleasantly surprised.
2 of 2 found this helpful Light, clear and great range. I didn't expect that any sub $20 radio could perform so well in indirect, rugged, wet forest but it does. You do have to buy the cable, download the software and program it if you want custom channels. The channels that come preprogrammed on it do not match US or Canada GMRS channels.

FT 897D Still performs well.
It does it all in one small rugged box. CAT to my Surface Pro is awesome.
