Just as good today
I’m pretty sure they stopped making these cars 30 years ago but Tomy turbos are excellent AFX slot cars. I have 6 of them and buy them when ever I can..A little slower than mega g cars made today but handle great and run very smooth.

They just don’t work.
The catch fence doesn’t work on a banked curve. It doesn’t clear the bank supports. It also doesn’t work on compound curves because the posts can’t be placed at the end of a track section. They only semi work on a standard 9” curve and even then they buckle at the place they’re supposed to snap together, which also doesn’t work well. They don’t stay together. I’m a big fan of AFX products, but this one was very disappointing..

Bigger than most
I use all kinds of tires on my slot cars, these are the widest and tallest t jet tires I have found. They also are the best fitting, they stay on the wheel . The larger diameter gives the car a more even look when you have standard t jet tires up front.
