Works well but has a couple of flaws
I got the Rider-M mainly for taking mountain biking videos while mounted to my chest. Right away I noticed 2 design flaws. 1) This was designed before the GoPro Hero5 Black came out because when the camera is mounted you can't access the power button. In previous GoPro models the power button is up front on the face of the camera. With the Hero5 it is on the right side if you're looking at it with the camera pointing forward. In that location the button is blocked by one of the motors. So I'll have to turn on the camera before I mount it to the gimbal and leave it in standby mode until I'm ready to record but that drains the battery. I go on 2+ hour rides so I have to bring extra batteries for the camera. Or I can leave it off until I'm ready to record but that would require me to stop, loosen it from the gimbal to access the power button and then remount it. Very annoying. 2) When I don't have the gimbal on it is limp and just flops around. When I'm mountain biking there's a lot of bouncing, turning, jarring and such and when I'm not recording and don't have the gimbal on the camera is just flopping around. I can turn it on the entire time but it'll just drain the battery and again. I'll have to bring along spare batteries and to replace them requires me to stop, remove the mount from my chest, then remove the GoPro mount from under the gimbal to access the battery compartment door in order for me to swap out the batteries. I just wish there's a lock or clutch mechanism that will keep all the moving parts in place when it is powered off so I don't damage the motors in any way. However, when I am using it the gimbal is awesome. The images are very smooth and it works as I had hoped. I took videos of 3 trails both with and without the gimbal and the difference is very noticeable. So I hope future versions of the Rider-M will address those 2 issues.

Fits perfectly
The part arrived well packed and it was brand new and fits perfectly. Looks just like the original.
