Troubles with new computer using USB 3.0 port .

The slitter appears to be fine, but I wanted to use it on a new computer with USB 3.0 and it did not work right. Tried to connect a HP printer too two computers the old USB 2.0 Computer worked but newer USB 3.0 computer did not work.
