Ati Marlin Fiberforce Stock For Marlin Model 60, 75, 990, Etc.

Pretty good stock for a Marlin twenty-two.

This is a light-weight stock for the Marlin Md 60. It is fairly easy to install, but you need to overcome some issues relating to the molding process. Mine came slightly warped and I needed to use a zip tie to secure the top of the forearm to the stock. Other than that issue it was an easy piece of equipment to work with. The shape of the stock makes getting a good hold and a good trigger pull much easier. I painted mine with Rustoleum textured outdoor plastic furniture paint and it looks great.

Not exactly as described.

Tube came with a dent in the barrel-side skirt, this could have negatively impacted the performance of this tube by catching on the wadding of the shell. What I got was NOT! a full choke tactical choke tube. It IS an extended full choke tube for STEEL SHOT! Nothing tactical about it. I had to put a tapered steel form into the back of the tube to remove the bend it had as well. The quality is good, but the product had been roughly handled prior to my getting it. I do cannot even guess how it got damaged, but I did manage to correct it sufficiently to safely used the blessed thing. I so happens I needed a choke tube for steel shot, so I decided to keep it.

A great kit for folks who shoot their Ruger 1022 a lot.

This product has a somewhat elevated difficulty level for installation, some folks may want to see a gunsmith with it. I was able to get the tune up kit into my rifle and I am now enjoying much greater reliability than I had. So far I have had no failures to feed, or any failures to fire. The Volquartsen kit corrected all of my problems with my old Ten Twenty Two rifle. I now have great extraction/feeding and much better cartridge ignition. I would recommend this set to anyone using a stock Ruger 1022 rifle, especially an older rifle like mine.
