Great for beginners and enthusiast alike for stills and video.
It'll be hard to beat a GX85 if you want something that offers a budget rangefinder style body while still offering great image and video quality. 16MP is more than enough to do prints upward of 11x14 in my experience. Menus are standard Panasonic, which is to say they're easy to navigate and find what you need.

Excellent compact feature filled DSLR.
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought to have a modern native platform for all of my vintage Pentax lenses. I might not go as far as to say it's a mirrorless killer like some others, but for a DSLR it's compact and full featured as to be expected from Pentax. Easy to use, responsive, and the colors/tones are amazing for color but even more so for black and white. The extract edge manual focus aid helps quickly find rough focus before nailing by zooming in.

Great little camera that punches way above it's weight.
Incredible quality for an "entry-level" camera, both in image quality and just in aesthetic. I picked it up mainly for looks to have on my shelf and use here and there, but it has become my day-to-day use camera everywhere I go, usually with a Lumix 20mm f/1.7 pancake. Sure it's not a X100 camera, but for a LOT less with this and a 17, 20, or 25mm (34, 40, and 50mm ff equivalent) you'll be able to take great shots without the hardware being a limiting factor most of the time.
