Works but?
This works great with my XPS M1710. My problem is the cord that runs from the power supply to the computer is too short. It is about 4 feet long and the OEM power supply is 6 feet. I just wish it was longer because the power supply must sit on the desk because the cord is too short for the power supply to sit on the floor.

Great resource.
I would saying this is a good book for someone who has no machining knowledge to get information to help them get started. It covers information from lathe and mills to anodizing and heat treating even gears and thread cutting. It is a great resource for any home hobby machinist or want a be machinist. It does focus on the Sherline products but can be useful to anyone with a small mill or lathe.
I would say the Content is "compelling" but to only those interested in home machining.

Pretty good but with issues
Works well but I do have complaints. The first one is the issue with the short cord. The cord that runs from the power supply to the compute is only 3-4 feet. It really needs to be 6 feet. That way the power supply can sit on the floor and not the desk. The cord from the wall to the power supply is also too short. It is 4 feet and I had to buy a 6 foot cord in order to get the power supply to sit on the desk.
